HP LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a TrustedReviews 1/2012 - With the overshadowing of colour lasers by LED devices, HP has retaliated with the release of the LaserJet Pro 100 Color MFP M175a. Can this printers' laser engine produce fast enough results and perfect colours?

HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf CNET.co.uk 7/2011 - With such a huge feature list, the HP LaserJet Pro M1536dnf certainly seems wonderful - at least on paper. With a price tag of around £210, it promises support for duplex printing and an ethernet port, along with fax, scan, and copy functions.

Information about the category

For businesses with a high volume of copies and faxes, a laser printer/ fax system is just what they need. This sophisticated device is a printer, fax machine and photocopier all rolled into one. Laser printer/fax systems are speedy but have a high purchase price and take up much more space than regular multifunctional printers.

Multifunctional appliances appeal to those who want print, fax and scan features all in the one device. However more and more compact multifunctional appliances are being used in offices rather than fully fledged copier systems (also known as laser printer/ fax systems). These machines produce a lot of copies in a short space of time. Laser printer/ fax systems are particularly quick and versatile with a very low cost per page. Because of the built-in laser printer, the quality of faxes received is very high and elaborate graphics, lines or shapes are all accurately reproduced. However, sometimes slight weaknesses are noticeable, even on quality prints. The relatively large amount of space required by the machine, its noisy printing and the purchase price are all unfavourable. Private users will most likely continue to use more compact multifunctional printers.
