The Toshiba HD-XE1 scored highest in What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision magazine (5/2007) with an overall rating of "excellent" (5 out of 5 stars). The product received its worst result from Pocket-lint.co.uk online magazine (issue 3/2007) with a score of 8 out of 10 points.
The "Recommended" (TrustedReviews 4/2007) award act as further honours for the Toshiba HD-XE1.
