With the sheer range of stations available, not to mention access to the BBC's podcasts and listen again service, the Quattro is an interesting alternative to DAB but one that for now, comes at a steep price.

With the newly added FM radio option for when the Internet radio is out of range or offline, the Quattro, according to PC Pro Magazine, is a stylish walnut finish radio. Its WiFi capability is marred by the fact that it can't run on batteries alone. So it is unlikely you will be throwing it over your shoulder and hanging out at the local WiFi hotspot listening to "hello john got a new motor". The Quattro will let you stream music from your PC or NAS via UPnP. Although the Quattro only has one speaker it still produces very good sound and deep base. The 3.5mm input allows you to attach bigger speakers when you want to pump up the volume to 11.
