"Recommended"
Sanyo's high-end effort is surprisingly cheap given its top specifications and performance. Video quality is great all round - thanks to the large sensor and full HD resolution. A hot shoe is also integrated and photographic filters can be used thanks to the threaded lens surround.

The Sanyo Xacti VPC-HD1000 flash memory camcorder didn't manage to outdo itself, coming away with only 3 out of 5 stars in issue (2/2008) of Computer Shopper magazine.
