The Xacti HD700 has very nice stills resolution and at the same time offers a decent video resolution. Its compact design allows it to fit into a pocket which is a rarity for most High Definition camcorders on the market. Because of it's size some quality is lost when panning. This is because of the Xacti HD700 poor video resolution and low optical zoom. Definitely a head-turner when it comes to design, though, and MacWorld suggests it would be a more thought of as a fun camcorder for quick clips and such.
