SanDisk has been gunning for Apple's top spot for a long time now and the Sansa range has been their best effort so far.
Coming in four flavours with storage capacity ranging from 2GB to 8GB, the whole range features a slot for microSD memory cards and a 1.8in colour LCD screen and centre scroll wheel for content navigation. PC Pro describes this scroll wheel as 'clunky' compared to Apple's implementation but still finds it is 'the quickest way to navigate a large library'.
The Sansa E-200 range of players won two group tests of flash-based players, not least due to their low price points, PC Pro commenting that 'in terms of value ... nothing can compete with the SanDisk Sansa e200 series'.
