Without an HDMI output, the ShowCenter relies on component cables for high definition output, not that this stops it from delivering great image quality. AVReview found its file support to be one of the widest on test and with support for uncompressed PCM audio and lossless WMA it could very well be the choice for audiophiles.

Don't be deceived by the name 250HD. The name suggests that it has some sort of a hard-drive, but it doesn't. Computing Made Easy magazine found that the 250HD was great for downloading and streaming HD but with nowhere to store it, the 250HD seems to be lacking some real guts.
