The digital camera was tested in 7 different magazines and gave reviewers little cause to complain, achieving fair results accross the board.
Its highest score of "The best in its class" (5 out of 5 stars) came from Digital Photo magazine which tested the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55 in their 12/2007 issue. PC Advisor online magazine gave the product a score of 3,5 out of 5 stars in issue 11/2007, which was the lowest score it received.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX55 was also able to walk away with the "Gold Award" (Digital Photo 12/2007) and "Recommended" (What Digital Camera 3/2008) prizes.
