The notebook was tested in 4 magazines and, all in all, was fairly well received.
Under the microscope, the One Laptop per Child (OLPC) XO-1 was able to obtain its best score of 4 out of 5 stars in the 1/2008 issue of PC Advisor online magazine. The Test Labs of ZDNet online magazine saw fit to give it a score of "Very Good" (7 out of 10 Points) (review in issue 3/2008).
