The internet telephony (VoIP) device was reviewed by 6 magazines with special attention paid to performance, and, all in all, was fairly well received.
Under the microscope, the NetGear SPH200D Skype Phone was able to obtain its best score of 85% in the 4/2007 issue of RegHardware online magazine. PC Pro magazine gave the product a score of "average" (3 out of 6 stars) in issue 6/2007, which was the lowest score it received.
