The hard drive was put through its paces in the test labs of 5 magazines most of them feeling the product did at least have some merit.
Under the microscope, the Maxtor OneTouch 4 Plus was able to obtain its best score of 4,5 out of 5 stars in the 2/2008 issue of PC Advisor online magazine. The Test Labs of Pocket-lint.co.uk online magazine saw fit to give it a score of 7 out of 10 points (review in issue 4/2008).
