While Reg Hardware did find the Lenovo to draw far less power than a standard system, they found the machine's spec too low to be able to suggest the system for anyone needing it for more than editing documents and browsing the web. For the same price you could get a faster computer, get things done in less time and save power by turning the system off afterwards.

"The Lenovo ThinkCentre A61e isn't a bad PC, but it's not great either. We like the fact that it uses less electricity than many of its peers, but the lack of expansion and slow performance is a major turnoff."

"Businesses interested in cutting the power bills generated by their desktop PCs will be interested in Lenovo's ThinkCentre A61e. However, home office workers should avoid this system as it is short on performance and features compared to other small desktops."
