The Goodmans GHD1621F2 is spot on. Bought one 3 weeks ago and it is remarkable value for money. Everything works (so far) as it should, picture quality is excellent and there seems to very little noise at all. It does excatly what I want  - records programmes in seconds with no fuss.
Definately recommend.

Great kit but could have done with better parental control features. Apart from locking channels, there is no way to control what one can view from the recorder library. Not ideal if you have childrens.
