"... isn't the cheapest to buy, and doesn't have the HP's integrated Bluetooth module. But it has an unbeatable combination of print quality, speed and fade resistance that no other 6 x 4in printer here can match."

Computer Shopper magazine put the
Epson PictureMate 240 photo printer
under observation and was fairly impressed, awarding it 5 out of 5 stars.
The photo printer was tested in 8 different magazines and was, in general, positively received.
The Epson Picture Mate PM240 looks a little bit like the cooler your parents used to take with you to the beach, large and rectangular with a wide carry handle at the top, thankfully it is a little more useful than that and rather than being able to keep drinks moderately warm instead of unbearably hot, this is able to keep your memories of such days alive by producing high quality prints of your digital photos. The PM240 is also fully portable with the optional battery on offer from Epson you could take the printer out with you ass a mini photo lab or make a bit of money by taking pictures of tourists and demanding they pay for them.
In fact the PM240 would not be too unsuited to this purpose as it came out fastest in Cnet's graphs from November 2006 with 1.24 pages per minute. The printer also features a 2.5 inch LCD so you can preview your pictures before committing to print.
Its highest score of "excellent" (6 out of 6 stars) came from PC Pro magazine which tested the Epson PictureMate 240 in their 8/2007 issue. The product received its worst result from MacUser magazine (issue 24/2006) with a score of 4 out of 5 points.
Another feather in the cap of the Epson PictureMate 240 is the award; "Best Buy" (Computer Shopper 2/2007), "What Digital Camera Choice" (What Digital Camera 1/2007), and "Recommended" (PC Advisor 2/2007) .
With its portability, speed and decent print quality, the PM240 understandably managed to grab quite a few awards in its time, either winning group tests or being Recommended by no less than six different magazines. This is a printer that offers a lot, proving that you get what you pay for.
