PC Pro found the PIXMA iP4500 to be a more than capable inkjet. It produces high quality prints at full throttle speed. The iP4500 performs better than any of it rivals. On top of this it is available at a very reasonable price making it a must have for anybody in the market for an inkjet.

"Labs Winner"
The iP4500 is a capable printer producing good quality prints for both mono and colour and costs were very low at less than 2ppp for both colour and black prints, surprisingly though, colour prints worked out cheaper than black, which still came close to the kind of low price offered by a laser. The inclusion of a built-in duplexer was a significant bonus, but taking into account the time needed for the ink to dry between printing the front and back side of pages, MacUser noted that this added quite a bit to the length of time prints took.

For quality photo-oriented users who also value high print speeds, PC Advisor recommends the Pixma iP4500, whose combination of the two bests better even some entry-level colour laserjet printers. Summary of Canon PIXMA iP4500
The Canon PIXMA iP4500 A4 ink jet printer proved its mettle in MacUser and PC Pro magazines, coming away with first place.
Computer Shopper magazine put the
Canon PIXMA iP4500 A4 ink jet printer
under observation and was fairly impressed, awarding it 4 out of 5 stars.
The A4 ink jet printer was tested in 5 magazines and came out relatively unscathed, managing to let its quality carry it though.
Under the microscope, the Canon PIXMA iP4500 was able to obtain its best score of "excellent" (6 out of 6 stars) in the 10/2008 issue of PC Pro magazine. Computer Shopper magazine (12/2007), gave the product its lowest score; a rating of 4 out of 5 stars, which says a lot about its quality.
The Canon PIXMA iP4500 was also able to walk away with the "A List" (PC Pro 12/2007) and "Recommended" (PC Pro 12/2007) prizes.
