At the moment, the EOS 1Ds Mk III holds an enviable position as the highest resolution professional DSLR which marks it out in a competitive marketplace. While it may seem like only a minor tweak to the Mark II, it is worth remembering that making a great camera even better is no bad thing.

Mac User magazine thought that the EOS 1Ds Mark III was a great camera with high picture quality and exceptional low-light capabilities. The semi-pro Eos 5D may be a better camera overall but if you are looking for a portable camera with top-notch resolution then the EOS 1Ds Mark III is a safe bet.
