It's a funny thing, but the more technology advances, the more people yearn for the good old days. We can fit hundreds of MP3s onto a DVD, but that doesn't mean that we want to. Instead, people across the internet are playing at compiling their own playlists based on the Eighties art of creating mixtapes, in which brevity is key. The traditional mixtape was the province of hour-long cassettes, restricted to around eight or ten tracks, and it's these limitations that people work in.
