My Book Studio Edition (500GB) is an external hard drive that you can use on practically any desktop or laptop. It boasts USB, FireWire and eSATA connection types and it is compatible with both PC and Mac. While these features can be great for experienced user, they can be difficult for novice users. If you are a first time user and consider yourself not very tech-savvy then Computing Made Easy suggests it may be best to start with the Home Edition. However, they do go on to say that due to its support for most systems, the Studio Edition would make a fantastic present for first-year university students.
