Despite the price premium, Computer Active felt the TF8510's quality makes it more than worth the money. The high price is justified by the TF5810's picture and build quality.

The PVR scene has long been dominated by Sky on the one hand and Humax on the other, according to TrustedReviews, it is time to grow a new arm as the Topfield is a fantastic product, bettering its competitors in a few important ways. The HDMI out allows for upscaling all the way up to 1080i and the massive 500GB hard disk is far better than the 160GB drives offered elsewhere. All this and the unit is upgradeable by USB to offer even more functionality than it ships with. It may be a tad expensive, but you get what you pay for and this is surely the best Freeview PVR out there at the moment.
