Even though the TomTom Go Live 825 seems rather expensive, you're actually paying for more than just the device itself, explains Pocket-Lint, who feels that much of its asking price reflects the first free year one gets for its live services. Fortunately, they feel that these features are well worth the outlay, and make this an easy product for them to recommend. |

"excellent" (6 out of 6 stars)
Value for money: "excellent" (6 out of 6 stars), "A List", "Recommended" Although PC Pro don't consider the TomTom Go Live 825 to be a vast improvement on previous models, they do still believe it to be the best satnav on the market. When they put it to the test, it always seemed to choose the best route to avoid traffic blackspots and mapped out traffic jams accurately. The interface was instinctive and displayed clear and easy to read maps. |

4 out of 5 points
Lacking a removable mount and an indicator for low battery charge, the TomTom Go Live 825 Europe is not quite on a par with its pricier siblings, but considering it has just about all the other features and functions of the others in this range, and at a lower price, IT Reviews rated this as a good option for people on a budget. The 5in resistive screen is also superior. |

9 out of 10 points
Value for money: 9 out of 10 points, "Recommended" Although it doesn't bring any new features to the table as such, TrustedReviews say it's the combination of features on board the TomTom GO LIVE 825 that's novel, and that combination looks like being a winning one. With top-end attributes such as LIVE services, maps for 45 European countries, and a 5in screen, all on a lower-priced device, they say it's fantastic value. |

TechRadar already considered them to be the very best satnavs available, so with a whole raft of improvements, including the interface and navigation options, they say the TomTom Go Live 825 pushes them even further ahead of the competition. Although Live services are an added cost after the first year, they're still the icing on the cake for TechRadar. |

TomTom GO LIVE 825 TrustedReviews 6/2011 - When TomTom launched its LIVE services, this was a premium feature only available in its top-of-the-range GO models. But in the last year or so they have filtered down to the XL LIVE and recent Via 120 LIVE. In fact, if you take a look at TomTom’s current range, it’s now absolutely enormous, with more than half LIVE-enabled. The GO LIVE 825 is the first step towards TomTom rationalising its selection to connected GO LIVE models and non-connected Starts, the new members of which we will be looking at in a future week, although for now the range is still larger than the largest thing in largetown.
TomTom Go Live 825 Pocket-lint.co.uk 9/2011 - Just because the Go Live 825 is found at the lower end of TomTom's Go Live range, doesn't mean that it's not chock-full of extra goodies. Reviewers take it on the road to see what its £220 asking price pays for.
