Initially the Vaio VGN-FZ31Z looked the business but on closer inspection Trusted Reviews found it was let down by poor battery life and weak speakers. In many respects the Vaio VGN-FZ31Z is a good machine but there are plenty of other 15.4-inchers that are superior in the multimedia department.

Serious power and build quality don't go far when you can't get your hands on them for less than £979. PC Pro found the VAIO VGN-FZ31Z to be good but it doesn't compete with any of the other £1000 notebooks on the market.
