Value for money: 7 out of 10 points Sony's MDR-EX510LP come with a rather generous seven pairs of colour-coded tips, and although TrustedReviews have seen better, the foam-lined ones formed a good seal. They liked the inclusion of a leather carry case too, and when it came to sound quality, bass was well balanced. Harsh-sounding treble let things down though, and they say you can get better for the price. |

Sony MDR-EX510LP TrustedReviews 6/2011 - Although Sony is one of the biggest names in consumer electronics, it hasn’t managed to establish itself as a top name in the high-end headphones market - not compared to the Shures, Westones and Ultimate Ears of this world. The Sony MDR-EX510LP are here to redress that balance, without pushing the boat out too far. They cost around £50, placing then squarely in the lower mid-range of the often baffling-expensive earphone market.
