“good”
“The HDR-CX690’s performance failed to impress across the board. But its 50p mode and 26.3 starting focal length are a good enough reason to buy the device. In terms of semi-professional setting options, which enable you to calibrate the camcorder yourself, there’s definitely room for improvement. ...” |

Value for money: “very good” “Bar a GPS receiver and a read-only memory, the CX 690 is based on the design of its older brother. Reviewed: the Sony HDR-CX700 and HDR-CX690 slashCAM 4/2011 - You just need to take a look at the features list of Sony’s latest top consumer camcorder range for 2011 to see that the brand doesn’t necessarily want to assume a revolutionary or pioneering role on the market. The most impressive additions are a slightly extended wide angle and support for 50p, a feature which Panasonic single-handedly developed one year ago to go with its AVCHD standard. Review details: Two camcorders were tested.
Sony Bloggie MHS-TS20K PC Pro 5/2011 - Cisco’s decision to cease the manufacture of Flip pocket video cameras came as a big disappointment; the products have been firm favourites in the PC Pro offices for a few years now, due to class-leading image quality and ease of use. But one man’s loss is another’s gain, so the saying goes, and other manufacturers are stepping in with their own products in the hope of grabbing some market share.
