5 out of 5 points
The price of the SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-S projector is seriously high and considering this price, the remote control did not impress TechRadar, and nor did the noise. It is, however, superbly designed and the set up offers ample flexibility. And of course the 3D pictures it generates are almost perfect with no colour noise or rainbow effect. |

10 out of 10 points
Value for money: 7 out of 10 points, "Editor's Choice" Considering it costs more than a new car, it still managed to impress Trusted Reviews. The images in both 2D and 3D are perfect and there is a lot of flexibility in the set-up, plus it has a stunning design. They had a couple of quibbles about the running noise and run-of-the-mill remote control, but otherwise they found this projector to be just incredible. |

“excellent” (1.2); Reference Class
Value for money: “adequate”, “Reference” “The SIM2 Lumis 3D Solo delivers a sensational picture even with mixed brightness levels. This is when it really makes the most of its enormous ANSI contrast ratio, producing pictures which are incredibly deep and vivid. Its 3D playback is one of the quietest of all the active systems and its high brightness levels make it the first choice when it comes to producing adequately bright 3D pictures, even for screens that surpass the 2 metre mark. ...” |

If you start saving now you could get your hands on your dream model in the shape of the SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-Solo. Perfect? Not quite. This ideal combination of professional and home cinema technology is in need of some extra tuning when it comes to its firmware.” |

“Decadence of the month” “... The Lumis really is the bee’s knees when it comes to elegance: it definitely knows its way around action films, sports transmissions and games. And it loves fast action shots. ... Potential opponents have only one chance to outfox the curvy Lumis - they have to surprise it from behind as the Lumis is fairly bog-standard when it comes to its rear-installed connection options. ...” |

SIM2 C3X Lumis 3D-S TechRadar UK 8/2011 - The most recent three-chip DLP projector from manufacturer SIM2 may have arrived just in the nick of time and will hopefully give a much needed kick start to the slowly waning domestic 3D market.
