Sennheiser HD 558 Review

With detailed, cultured and effortless sound, the HD 558s from Sennheiser were deemed by Trusted Reviews to be a superb starter set of headphones for entering high-end audio realms. The cable is detachable, and they are comfortable to wear whilst being suitable for all genres of music and sound sources, without becoming offensive. The only quibble was about the cheap looking grille.

"Ultimate"

This headphone set, according to Expert Reviews, is one of the best to buy for home listening. They have an impedance of 50 ohms which is higher than most consumer headphones. While this makes it hard to get the best sounds from an MP3 player or iPod, it is perfect for creating fantastic sound when connected directly to a sound card or a powered amplifier.
