"stunning all-rounder" (5 out of 5 stars)

"... This tie-in with Adidas brings a particularly gratifying sound tweak - perfectly judged tonal balance, awesome detail and dynamic, controlled bass. Brilliant."

The sound quality and of the HD 25-1-IIs impressed MacWorld to no end, leading them to say that these are among the purest and clearest headphones they have every tested. Both treble and bass are superb, with no boominess or harshness, and to top it off, their styling is gorgeous and build quality is first class. They're not cheap and they can be uncomfortable at times, though.

4 out of 5 stars

Unlike so many other offerings in which aesthetics rule over sound quality, the HD 25-1-IIs look and sound the business. The bass goes deep without being flabby, the high end is beautifully crisp and there's no distortion to be heard. PC Advisor did point out that despite their light weight they're quite uncomfortable to wear for long periods, though.

CNet said that although the Sennheiser Adidas HD 25-1-II headphones offer great audio quality, they are appalling in every other way. Reviewers were especially put off by the cheap construction and uncomfortable fit, noting that one can find far better for this price, saying that for £50 less they recommend Monster Beats by Dr. Dre Solos or the Bowers & Wilkins P5s for £50 more.

Sennheiser promised comfort with these headphones which Pocket-lint didn't believe was delivered, but they admit this is personal taste. The sound quality, especially the bass, was more impressive, and the reviewer like the Adidas styling. Even with the high price tag, if you are an Adidas fan or a DJ needing some slick cans, these headphones come recommended.
