Value for money: 29 out of 30 points, "Premium Grade" The fact that Sapphire has used the last-generation Radeon HD 5850 chip for this card means that it easily outperforms more modern cards in its same price range and can even stand up to the more expensive HD 6850 and GTX 460, leading Bit-tech to enthusiastically recommend it to any gamer on a budget, especially considering that once stocks are gone, they'll be gone for good. |

"Recommended" Achieving a good gaming experience doesn't have to cost the earth according to IT Reviews, who reckon the Sapphire Radeon HD 5850 Xtreme is perfect for lower budget buyers. They considered the performance to be superb for the price and found nothing negative to say about this graphics card. If the price is still too high, they recommend looking at the HD5830 Xtreme instead. |
