"Hot Product" After a look at the Samsung UE55D8000, Pocket-Lint declared that it has the best 3D picture they've ever seen on a Samsung display. They also found its high-def images to be excellent and appreciated its other features, including its appealing design, Smart Hub IPTV, Freeview HD and Freesat tuners; though they noted that its Motion Plus processing was a bit shakey. |

T3 couldn't help but be impressed by Samsung's UE55D8000. Despite an incredibly slim, minimalist design, it turned out to be feature-packed, perhaps the highlight being the Smart Hub IPTV content. The 3D experience is absorbing, and 2D pictures are brilliantly detailed with excellent black levels. The Motion Plus settings resulted in a few too many artefacts though. |

TechRadar found the Samsung UE55D8000 to be a truly outstanding TV that more than justifies its price. With its extensive online services, it can genuinely claim to be a 'smart' TV, which also offers superb 2D image quality and stunning design. Some small issues with 3D image quality and poor picture presets are the only complaints to be made about the UE55D8000. |

Samsung UE55D8000 TrustedReviews 3/2011 - Samsung kicked off the whole 3D 'ruck' last year in typically bold style with its C8000 TV series. This combined sensational design with cutting-edge 3D tech and a much-improved online service. Which is, um, exactly the deal on offer from this year's D8000 series, as it happens!
Samsung D8000 (UE55D8000) CNET.co.uk 3/2011 - When the Samsung UE46D7000 3D TV left our offices, we had a little cry. We hate to see winners of our Editors' Choice award leave the building. But that grim cumulonimbus had a silver lining: Samsung promised to let us see a similar but larger TV from its D8000 range.
