A good selection of ports and built in speakers lend the Samsung the edge in terms of versatility but Digital Photo found its colour accuracy to be a bit off out-of-the-box with a slight green cast and dullish colours.

Stealing the show from Dell's 2408WFP is no mean feat, but the Samsung manages it comfortably due to its significantly lower price and 10,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. PC Pro found it great for use with video; the monitor managing to dig out detail in dark scenes and its gaming performance was just as impressive. Add in the stylish design and you've got yourself a stew going that will be hard to resist.
