"very good" (7,7 out of 10 points)
"There's very little to fault with the Samsung R720. Attractive and packing decent components, it offers excellent value for a desktop-replacement laptop. Its 3D graphics performance is its only real weak spot, but it still offers enough oomph to keep casual gamers satisfied."

"Samsung's latest desktop replacement has a huge, high-resolution 17.3in display - and a tiny, tiny price tag."

"The 17.3in screen looks good and, despite Samsung's decision to go with a Pentium Dual Core processor, the R720 returned some decent benchmark scores. Perhaps most surprising was the 3D performance afforded by the Radeon HD 4330 graphics card. Yet again, though, we’re dismayed at Samsung’s decision to leave out 802.11n wireless, while some of the keys losing their texture so quickly was also a concern. However, at £599 it's very reasonably priced for a 17in laptop. If you can forgive its minor flaws, the Samsung R720 is a decent, albeit relatively low-powered, desktop replacement."

"... There is not much to dislike about the R720. It looks good and the wider screen works well. As with other large laptops, the battery in the R720 didn’t last long, though: Samsung quotes a time of roughly three hours, although this will vary depending on use. The Samsung R720 is excellent for watching films or listening to music and it handles games well. However, if you are not interested in gaming, you could shop around for a cheaper laptop with a lower specification that will play films and handle office tasks just as well. ... A good alternative to a desktop computer for many people."
