"Budget Buy" The footage produced by the MultiProof W200 is not as good as the one from the latest Flip Ultra, for example, but it's excellent for such an affordable device. Expert Reviews praised its low light performance and overall sharpness, while its water- and shock-proofing are fantastic extras to have at the price and earn it a 'Best Buy' award. |

Value for money: 8 out of 10 points, "Recommended" Samsung's W200 may not break any innovation records, but unlike most other waterproof pocket Internet camcorders, it offers a great low light performance, thanks to its big back-lit CMOS sensor, and it has an Aqua filter for underwater filming. Trusted Reviews acknowledge that it lacks many manual controls, but they say it's good value at less than £100. |

Whether Samsung's W200 HD is any better than a smartphone at capturing video and still images is debatable, but IT Reviews point out that it has the added appeal of a rugged build, and being waterproof, it's more versatile. There's no built-in storage, and the shutter button was stiff, but they were impressed with the user interface, and overall, they say it's a nice gadget to take away. |

Samsung W200 TrustedReviews 10/2011 - The W200 from Samsung is the latest pocket Internet camcorder to offer protection from sand and water and the likes, but this candybar device is a little different to the norm.
Samsung HMX-W200RP Expert Reviews 10/2011 - Camcorder manufacturers nowadays have to offer unique features to stand a chance against the current crop of video-recording smartphones. The W200's ace in the hole is its ruggedness.
