Value for money: 4 out of 5 stars, "Recommended"

The mixture of high mass and suspension on the Pro-ject RPM 10.1 Evolution is pretty good, and Hi-Fi Choice found the numerous counterweights to be most agreeable. The Ground It base offers reasonable isolation, but the arm appeared to be microphonic and the finger-lift is a tad on the small side. Sound is engaging with good dynamics, timing and detail.

"Highly Commended"

"This is a well balanced, vice-free package, and very good value player, vindicating Pro-Ject's dedicated work on plinth materials to curb resonances. Ideally partnered with the 10cc Evolution arm, the combo's lean, deep bass quality allows the rhythmic drive of the music to come through, solid but not heavy-footed."
