Although sound is not top notch, there is greater scale and depth than similarly priced sets, whilst overall it performs solidly, with good black levels and insightful images. Whites are crisp and neutral, though less punchy than its rivals, but in standard def picture becomes overcooked.

Despite the uninspiring case, Panasonic's TX-L26X10 26" LCD TV has some commendable features. Three HDMIs, SC Card slot, Eco mode along with good black levels. Viewing angles are a bit tight and the price isn't the cheapest.

Despite the dynamic contrast, images can look flat in a room with too much light, and black levels are a bit weak. For what you get, it isn't cheap either. The audio is notably better than most 26" LCD TVs, and Panasonic's Viera TX-L26X10 manages good HD and SD playback. This is one model that takes the 26" category seriously.

The TV was tested in 3 different magazines most of them feeling the product did at least have some merit.
Under the microscope, the Panasonic Viera TX-L26X10 was able to obtain its best score of "very good" (7 out of 10 points) in the 4/2009 issue of CNET.co.uk online magazine.
