"excellent" (5 out of 5 stars)
Despite not being the last word in black levels the Panasonic plasma still comfortably demonstrates the technology's lead over LCD in this area. What Hi-Fi? found its Full HD performance exemplary with good detail and motion tracking combined to the set's ability to keep colours, skin tones and scenes all looking effortlessly natural. Standard definition sources aren't as impressive, neither is the Freeview performance, but with upscaling DVD players and HD transmissions finally on the way from the BBC and ITV, the set's value for money certainly makes a good case for further investigation.
