Issue 1/2009 Position 1/5 in test |
This magazine is available at newsagents until 11.12.2008.
While it resembles a traditional video camera, the S7's dinky dimensions hide a great specification. A 10x optical zoom, image stabilisation and a DVD-like resolution of 720 x 576i make for good quality recordings. PC Pro's main complaint was its fiddly operation, but this aside, the camera is a great example of the new wave of take-anywhere, use-anytime video cameras.

The Youtube generation is sure to pick up on the importance of the SDR-S7. CNet.co.uk thought that that apart from the lack of high definition, the SDR-S7 was a great pocket size camcorder that will serve you well and one you don't have to pay an arm and a leg for.

While you can't really expect the SDR-S7 to offer the quality serious videomakers would deem acceptable and the lack of high definition will give it a limited self time, for £200 the SDR-S7offers some great camcorder features. Trustedreviews.com thought the most attractive feature was its size. A pocket-friendly camera that you don't have to empty your pockets to pay for.
