Issue 11/2008 4 products on test	"very good" (4 out of 5 stars) While What Hi-Fi found the Panasonic DMR-EX768 to be a great recorder, delivering faithful copies from its digital tuner, the magazine warned that it couldn't compete with more capable players when used for straight playback of DVDs. Also, despite its Freeview Playback certification, the magazine found the DMR-EX768's EPG to be a tad clunky and slow.

Its DVD playback was very good and the quality of recordings at the higher settings were practically indistinguishable from the broadcast footage. Upscaling was a bonus and the lack of DivX and MP3 compatibility may be a dealbreaker for some, it won't hold this player back from being a success.	Download
