For suitable handsets, MacUser thought BluePhoneElite 2 was a useful piece of software that allowed owners to get a great deal more out of their phones including sending text messages and using the computer's headset to make and receive calls. The main failing, they felt, was that it was largely incompatible with the iPhone, which, for Mac-based software is almost a cardinal sin.
