Marantz UD8004 Review

The UD8004 was called sophisticated and very capable with fine build quality by Tech Radar. The fan was a little noisy and some discs took time to be identified, but otherwise this was an eloquent player. The price of the UD8004 is a little high but this is well balanced against it's abilities and performance although the lack of a USB port was a surprise.

“Blu-ray universal player, which also masters DVD Audio and SACD. Extensive features and connection variety. Sounds pleasantly musical through HDMI and also through analogue output.”

“In regards to features and handling it is equal to the Denon brother. For audio electronics, Marantz has clearly put in a lot more effort, which pays off tonally and which justifies the additional price.”
