LG's entry is eminently affordable and AVReviews feels manages to punch far above its weight with a good picture and decent sound. Only problems with motion and a lack of standout features hold it back as a main television, but its price and size would make it a good choice for a bedroom.

The cheapest of the lot, at a very reasonable £450, this stylish LG boasts innovative 'Intelligent Sensor' technology to adjust the picture to heat and light conditions, as well as reducing power consumption. Ultimately though, as What Hi-Fi reports, the picture and especially the sound simply don't match up to the competition.

The TV was tested in 4 magazines and, all in all, was fairly well received.
Under the microscope, the LG Electronics 32LG5000 was able to obtain its best score of "Very Good" (7 out of 10 points) in the 5/2008 issue of CNET.co.uk online magazine. The Test Labs of What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision magazine saw fit to give it a score of "average" (3 out of 5 stars) (review in issue 8/2008).
