The ESP 3 is one of the fastest all-in-one printers around but unfortunately PC Pro could not find anything else that made it worth recommending. Ultimately, the ESP 3's swiftness does not mask the the many faults in its features and picture quality.

Without the benefit of a screen, some of the functionality of the ESP 3, such as printing from memory cards and USB sticks, is lost. Computeractive found the printer hit its target of only 7p per print but with rivals offering more in the way of features, the Kodak has its work cut out for it.

It is sometimes worth spending a little extra on an all-in-one than one that costs less than normal machines. The Kodak ESP 3 does just this. MacUser magazine liked the small footprint of the ESP 3 and the good quality prints that it produces.

The ESP 3 has the ability to produce some great prints and is an affordable unit. But PC Pro found it to be too slow and its operating cost to be too high.

The ESP 3 does its job well but the £70 is more expensive than most of its competitors. However, Kodak does claim that it will save you money when it comes to running cost. TrustedReviews.com found that this was partly true; for printing photos using Kodak's economy packs the ESP 3 was a little cheaper than the competition, but whether this made up for its fewer features is a decision for the buyer to make.
