Sound Quality: 70%
Compared to the rest of contenders on test, Klipsch's Image One have a hard time coming out on top on any aspect. They're not particularly comfortable, their sound is not as open as that from Bose's AE2 due to excessive low end weight and there is a definite lack of air and imaging that kept Hi-Fi News from finding them truly engaging. If you like some drama in your music, avoid them. |

"well worth considering" (4 out of 5 stars)
"... the Image Ones' workmanlike appearance should appeal. And so should their sound ... Bass can be a little overpowering at times though ... Overall, then, a fine effort - you'll get hefty bang for your buck." |

CNet describes the Klipsch Image One as a solid set of headphones, describing their audio quality as up-to-par with their price. They like their design and comfortable fit, while noting that some will appreciate the inclusion of a remote for Apple devices; however, they found other headphones offering slightly better audio for the same price, though they weren't as stylish. |

Pocket-lint were concerned that with such a high price tag, you were paying for the Klipsch name as much as for the headphones, but they did find them comfortable and lightweight. They also liked that the protective case was included. It has an in-line remote that will work with some music players and offers a high level of audio quality, though no noise-cancellation. |

Value for money: “very good” “Likes: the bass! No other model delivers so much depth. Dislikes: the bass!” |

“very good” (7.7 out of 10 points)
“The Klipsch Image One outdoes the competition when it comes to bass and its thick ear pads shield the user from any ambient noise. With its closed design, reliable two year guarantee and sound (which is even more natural than many of its more expensive competitors), the Klipsch Image One is definitely deserving of our recommendation.” |

“Outstanding” (9 out of 10 points)
“Our recommendation” “The Image One model from Klipsch is not only the brand’s first on-ear model for mobile use, it’s also one of the best. Although this set was essentially designed for use with the Apple iPhone, and thus includes an integrated hands-free option, it also impresses with its simple operation and comfortable fit as well as its top-class balanced sound.” |
