The LaserJet Pro P1102w is easy to use, is neatly built and, surprisingly, it includes wireless connectivity in addition to its USB port. Register Hardware were pleased with its printing speeds and print quality, even if it's not the best in the group for greys, and running costs are decent too, making it a good all-rounder. |

The HP LaserJet P1102w is slightly more expensive than some others but this is because it has a wireless connection, notes Register Hardware. They say the design is not as neat as others. Print cost is average. With regard to print quality, no banding occurred, but greys in photos were slightly smudgy. Text print was very good. |

3.5 out of 5 stars
HPs LaserJet Pro P1102w is quicker than normal low-end laser printers according to PC Advisor. It also has wireless capabilities. It is just unfortunate that the toner is so pricey as this makes it only really appropriate for users printing low quantities. And although the speed of printing graphics was reasonable, the output quality looked rough. |

3 out of 5 stars
"... HP quotes print speeds of 18 pages per minute (ppm). As usual for printer makers, these figures are calculated without taking into account the time it takes for the first page to arrive, which in our tests was just over seven seconds with the printer in standby mode. ... Print quality was very good, although when printing extra-large text we noticed the letters had some jagged edges. It handled photos and images reasonably well, but as with most lasers detail is soon lost in darker areas. ... Compact size and built-in wireless connection impress, but it’s fairly expensive to run." |

Value for money: 6 out of 10 points "... It's difficult to write anything original about the print quality of modern, monochrome laser printers, as nearly all manufacturers have got the basics sussed. Text at normal point sizes, from 10 to 12 point, shows no artefact of any consequence, and is dense and black. ... Overall, this is a worthwhile, entry-level mono laser printer, which comes as standard with wireless connection and prints good-quality pages quickly. It's comparatively expensive to run though, and costs around 25 percent more to buy than some of its main rivals. Unless you're a devoted HP customer, there are other machines that are strong contenders here." |

“good” (2.4)
“Those who can do without colour copying will find a good printer in the HP Laserjet 1102w. It is also well-suited as a second printer for occasional use. Thanks to its WLAN interface, the device is also able to be used flexibly in the WLAN network. |
