Sound and Vision described the HANNspree ST281's Freeview picture as watchable and the remote as neat, noting the TV's attractive price, but found too many performance flaws, including poor black levels, colour balance and noise levels, and a lack of detail, clarity and sharpness of images from standard and HD sources.
