As you'd expect from a £550 prime lens, the construction, though lightweight, is good quality. The simple, traditional design should appeal to many photographers, and when stopped down a bit, the lens can deliver great clarity in the centre of the frame, though the sharpness drops off at the edges. ePHOTOzine also note fringing, but say it's still a joy to use, even with its imperfections. |
