"... the Epson machine was a good way ahead of any of the other machines in the group, achieving 5.4ppm in colour and an impressive 14.2ppm in black. You pay for this extra speed in noise, with one of the noisiest paper feeds in the group. Plain paper print quality is fair, while not up to Canon or HP standards. Text is a little more uneven and colour graphics are a bit over-bright, but photos are excellent, with smooth colour textures and accurate tones. ... A capable, fast machine, with a good feature set, though text print can be jagged."

"... Print quality isn't quite as good as the best of the others, with slight jaggedness around the edge of diagonals and curves. It's still adequate for most purposes ... Choosing between the Stylus SX610FW and the Stylus Office BX610FW comes down to a choice of bundled software. If you prefer the document manager, Presto PageManager 8, go for the Office model, while if you're more concerned with the OCR quality of ABBYY FineReader 6 Sprint, the SX is the better choice."

"The Epson Stylus SX610FW puts big-office features on home workers' desks. If your work revolves around PowerPoint, Excel and Word, its excellent text and business graphics will prove pleasing, and you'll probably be charmed by its easy Wi-Fi networking, built-in fax and accurate, if noisy, sheet-fed copier."
