Although colour printing speeds weren't quite up to those claimed by Epson, TrustedReviews still found the AcuLaser C3900DN quick for a colour laser, and text and graphics quality was good, with photos looking unusually natural. Overall, they say that running costs and the unit price are reasonable, and it would make a solid choice of printer for a small office or workgroup.

Excellent speeds, good quality - if a tad dark - prints, a high monthly duty cycle and above all, dirt cheap running costs make the C3900DN an option to consider seriously. MacWorld found the control panel clear to read and easy to use and were happy to see a Gigabit Ethernet interface instead of the slower 100Base-TX one used by other printers.

The Epson C3900DN impressed PC Advisor with its good all-round performance, and they were especially pleased with its speedy, future-proofing Gigabit ethernet interface. The printer was one of the fastest of its type and was especially quick on graphics, although duplex performance was sluggish. Print quality was generally pretty good, and overall they think it's a great deal.
