With the most comprehensive connection options of any monitor on test, the Dell also features a bright, high-end S-PVA panel for great image quality and a wide colour gamut. Picture in picture and i:1 pixel mapping for high definition content add to the appeal, but the whole package comes at a price.

It wasn't the cheapest on test, but Mac User felt that if it was a budget offering with all the frills you were after, the Dell was the one to go for. It features a wealth of connection options and menus and buttons are all well laid out, after calibration, image quality is nothing to be sniffed at either.

It may not be suitable for graphics professionals but as a general display the 2408WFP is top-notch. Trusted Reviews believes that if the 2408WFP does not usurp the BenQ FP241W's top spot then it will come very close.

The 2408WFP performs wonderfully across the board and is matched by its superb design and feature list. CNet.co.uk thought that the 2408WFP worked well as an entertainment display and for everyday Windows tasks.

While it may appear expensive compared to competing consumer monitors, PC Advisor felt the 2408WFP, by dint of its excellent connectivity and great performance, still managed to offer stellar value for money and was well worth further investigation.
