Value for money: 3 out of 5 points Brother's DCP-J525W allows you to print, scan and copy from one device. It is now possible to link your smartphone to the unit, so that you can download an app to print pictures stored on your phone. Despite a pause before paper was ejected when Gadget Speak used it for printing, they were happy with performance levels. Though it's not perfect, overall it produces decent results. |

3 out of 5 stars
Brother's DCP-J525W is undoubtedly capable of delivering documents at impressive speeds, and it boasts some nice features like built-in Wi-Fi and a touchscreen, but according to CNET, print quality is where it falls down. Colours could be more vibrant, and text should be sharper, so overall, they say rivals can offer better results without compromising too much on speed. |

3 out of 5 stars
The Brother DCP-J525W covers the basics expected from a MFP. It's equipped with a touchscreen, but as it's a bit small, it's difficult to use. For the most part, it operates quickly but photo printing time is quite slow. Expert Reviews also felt that the output was generally disappointing as the manufacturer seems to have prioritised printing speed over quality. |

It looks like Brother are placing their bets on a growing market sector with their new range of home office multifunction devices, but IT Reviews felt that their entry-level DCP-J525W was missing some basic features. They found the touchscreen controls easy to use, and welcomed built-in Wi-Fi, but although it was capable of some good speeds, image quality was a disappointment. |
