The BeoPlay A9 is an absolutely unique proposition that looks like nothing else on the market but which manages to offer as much substance as it does style. Trusted Reviews reckon many will be turned off by its unconventional looks, but it's amazing what B&O has done with such a restrictive design, offering simply sublime sound quality that will make any audiophile drool.

B&O products are never cheap, but for T3, the outlay the BeoPlay A9 demands is definitely worth it if design is as important as sound quality to you. Its sound is clear but also powerful, with good bass weight and the possibility of using several speakers to produce a stereo or surround field. The controls are responsive and cleverly designed, and overall this speaker oozes class.

The design of the BeoPlay A9 is not only gorgeous, but practical too, since it does away with some sonic problems which are characteristic of more conventional designs. Trusted Reviews found its sound quality impressive, delivering oodles of power and volume while keeping all frequencies clear and free from muddiness. It's obscenely expensive, but it certainly delivers.
