Issue 76 2 products on test |
PDA Essentials were in no way as impressed with the Windows XP version of the Eee PC as they were with the customised Linux version. They argued that on the latter, the whole OS had been designed around the limitations of the system whereas the XP model felt like an operating system trying to run on a system the likes of which had not been dreamt on when XP first hit the market. The magazine recommends that anyone who really needs XP can find a full sized system for not much more than the price of the Eee PC 900, and would probably be better off with that.

The obvious difference is that Linux gives you twice as much space than with Window. CNet.co.uk said that they could not recommend the Windows version but if you couldn't live without Windows it is now available if you can deal with the cut in storage space.
